This drawing
illustrates an illusion of depth of distance. As we saw in class the example of
railroads is the same as this one. in other words when we draw roads, railroads
and building we tend to use the illusion of depth to show the distance. Like the
road and buildings in this drawing. Our mind see that the sides of the road will cross in one point. linear perspective is used in this drawing since we can clearly see the horizontal lines that suggest space.
There are different ways to create the illusion of depth:
- linear perspective.
- overlapping
- scale and proportion
- atmospheric perspective
- location and surface detail.
